About Me

Recovering from Addiction to Prescription Medications

I never thought of myself as an addict, but I did end up addicted to anti-anxiety medication after developing Generalized Anxiety Disorder. At some point, the medicine stopped being a way to deal with the nervousness and panic attacks, and became something my body craved. I knew that I needed help fast. Fortunately, a local drug rehab program includes support for people like me. They helped me wean off the medication, use methods like massage therapy to help my nerves heal, and even provided ongoing counseling for our family. I don't know how I would have made it without their help. If you suspect that your medication has crossed the line from being helpful to hurtful, take heart. Let me tell you about my journey out of addiction and back to wholeness.

Thinking Of Getting Breast Implants? Ease The Transition With These Tips

by Valerie Stevens

Breast implants can dramatically change your look. But what if you aren't going for that much of a size increase? What if you just want enhancement, but don't want it obvious to friends and family that you had work done. Fortunately, there are ways to ease into your new breasts.

Make Use Of Padded Bras

Padded bras are an excellent way to make your breasts appear larger as you approach your surgery date. The key is to gradually increase the padding in your bra. A gradual change is less likely to get the attention of people who know you.

Change Your Style

Wearing baggier clothing leading up to your breast augmentation date can also throw people off. Large breasts can even be hard to notice if clothing is baggy and doesn't reveal cleavage. Tone down the sexiness in the months leading up to your surgery.

Wearing a more conservative hair style will also help. After you get your breast implants, change your style of hair. Changing the style and/or color of your hair can help bring attention away from your breasts. Gradually ease into clothing that highlights your breasts.

Start Exercising

Before your breast augmentation, let friends and family know that you will be going on a strict exercise program. Even if you are slim, toning up can dramatically affect your appearance. Toned abdominal muscles can help draw the eyes away from your breasts while you are in a swimsuit.

If you have a little weight to lose, the affects might be first seen in your face. Changes in your face can also help draw attention away from your new breasts.

Get A Tan

A tan can dramatically change your appearance. This can really help you if you choose to get breast implants during the colder months. People will comment about your different look, but will probably be talking about your glowing tan.

Since excessive tanning can be dangerous, don't make tanning a habit. You should only tan for about a week or two and then stop. Use sunscreen even with indoor tanning.

Go On Vacation

Simply disappearing and coming back as the new you could also do the trick. When people haven't seen you in a couple weeks, they might just attribute physical change to not seeing you for a while. This method really works well when you combine it with the strategies above.

The above guideline can help you adapt to your new breast implants if you are making a modest change. People will notice you look different, but might not be able to tell you had work done on your breasts.
